Kuala lumpur: Auxiliary police officers are key strategic partners of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), acting as the force's eyes and ears in preserving public safety and order. Bukit Aman Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department (Prevention Operations/Support Resource Coordination) deputy director, Datuk Nik Ros Azhan Nik Ab Hamid, emphasized their crucial role in channelling information to meet increasingly complex security challenges.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, these officers are not merely internal authorities at their workplaces but also protect various premises and the nation's key assets. Datuk Nik Ros Azhan highlighted the importance of auxiliary police officers being mindful of their conduct, speech, and personal bearing at all times, as they represent not only their respective agencies but also the auxiliary police institution and PDRM. He delivered these remarks during his address at the closing and passing-out ceremony of the Basic Auxiliary Police Course, Series 7 of 2026, held at the Police Training Centre (PULAPOL).

A total of 206 participants, including nine senior and 197 junior auxiliary police officers from 26 agencies, completed the training. They underwent 63 days of basic training at PULAPOL Kuala Lumpur, beginning on July 19. Nik Ros Azhan also issued a stern warning about the issue of integrity, reminding officers not to abuse their power, accept bribes, or break the law. He stressed that integrity must be translated into action, as involvement in disciplinary problems or crime would tarnish the reputation of their agencies as well as PDRM.

"Remember, once public trust is lost, it is very difficult to regain," Nik Ros Azhan concluded.
