Autistic Girl Falls to Death from 13th-floor Apartment in Tragic Incident

Kuala terengganu: A seven-year-old autistic girl tragically died after falling from the 13th floor of the Ladang Tok Pelam Apartments in Kuala Terengganu.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Kuala Terengganu police chief ACP Azli Mohd Noor reported that the police department received a call at approximately 7.50 am about a young girl found in the sixth-floor parking area, having fallen from a higher window. Medical personnel from Hospital Sultanah Nur Zahirah (HSNZ) pronounced the child dead at the scene.

Investigations and a post-mortem conducted later in the day confirmed no foul play in Nur Muazzam Aisya Mubi's death, with severe blunt force injuries from the fall identified as the cause. The victim's family had rented the apartment as a homestay while attending an entrepreneurship seminar at Yayasan Pembangunan Usahawan.

ACP Azli explained that the girl's mother, Nor Azera Ismail, realized her daughter was missing after being informed by another resident around 7 am. Nor Azera had initially seen her daughter asleep at 6 am before leaving her in the bedroom to prepare for the day.

The mother recounted that the family arrived at the homestay the previous night, where the child attempted to open a window, prompting concern. Nor Azera secured her daughter using a ribbon to alert her if the child awoke or moved during the night. The tragic incident was brought to her attention when a resident notified her of the fall.

Nor Azera expressed her devastation, stating, "Only God knows the grief and heartbreak. I never expected this to happen." She recounted the moment she realized the tragedy, saying she rushed to the window to see her daughter lying below.

In the wake of the incident, ACP Azli urged the public to refrain from speculating or sharing photos of the victim, respecting the family's time of mourning.
