Lukut: A nine-year-old autistic boy was found drowned in a lake within a hotel area in Lukut. The incident occurred after the boy is believed to have left his hotel room without his family’s knowledge.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Port Dickson police chief Supt Maslan Udin reported that the police received a call about the incident at 8.06 pm from a 44-year-old family member of the boy. The child was reported missing at approximately 3.30 pm, likely having left the room unnoticed.
The victim was on holiday with his family when the tragic incident occurred. Hotel staff and family members discovered the boy’s body in the lake while searching for him after realizing he was not in the room.
Maslan confirmed that a post-mortem examination was conducted at 10 am at the Port Dickson Hospital Forensic Department. The examination confirmed drowning as the cause of death, and the case has been classified as sudden death.
