Kuala lumpur: The National Unity Ministry (KPN), through the National Library of Malaysia (PNM), is advancing its mission to safeguard national heritage by developing MyRepositori, a digital repository designed to centralize high-value collections for public access.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MyRepositori is a strategic national initiative aimed at ensuring Malaysia's intellectual, historical, and cultural heritage is preserved, digitized, and made accessible to all segments of society without barriers. The platform currently boasts over 55,000 digital titles, including National Collections, Special Collections, Malay Manuscript Collections, and Microfilm Collections (newspapers).

Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang emphasized the importance of these collections, describing them as a crucial national asset that represents Malaysia's identity, history, and civilization, needing preservation for future generations. He highlighted that in the rapidly evolving digital era, access to authentic and quality information is foundational in building a knowledgeable, competitive, and united society.

MyRepositori is positioned as a catalyst for societal transformation by providing a comprehensive and reliable reference platform for public use. The ministry is committed to enhancing digitization efforts to ensure that the nation's intellectual heritage remains relevant and sustainable.
