Sri Aman:Johor Four areas in Johor and Sarawak recorded unhealthy Air Pollutant Index (API) readings as of 9 am today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Department of Environment's Air Pollutant Index Management System reported that Sri Aman in Sarawak had the highest reading at 152. Following closely behind was Pasir Gudang in Johor with a reading of 151.

Additional areas affected include IPD Serian in Sarawak with an API of 126 and Larkin in Johor at 121.

Meanwhile, air quality in 61 areas was categorized as moderate, while Taiping in Perak and Temerloh in Pahang recorded favorable air quality with readings of 44 and 42, respectively. The API reading for Kota Kinabalu, Sabah was not available at the time.

API readings are categorized as follows 0 to 50 as good, 51 to 100 as moderate, 101 to 200 as unhealthy, 201 to 300 as very unhealthy, and above 300 as hazardous.
