Kuala lumpur: Koperasi Angkatan Tentera Malaysia Bhd (Koperasi Tentera) has declared a 7.3 percent dividend involving a total payout of RM126.2 million to more than 154,000 members for the financial year ended 2025. Deputy Defence Minister Adly Zahari announced the dividend at the cooperative's 60th Annual General Meeting here today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Koperasi Tentera recorded a net income of RM278 million for the financial year ended 2025, up from RM253 million in 2024. Adly expressed pride in Koperasi Tentera's achievement in maintaining its status as a premier cooperative with assets exceeding RM3 billion, highlighting the trust and commitment of members throughout six decades.
Adly emphasized the cooperative's role as a strategic asset for the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) community, founded on trust, solidarity, and shared responsibility to safeguard members' welfare. He noted that a cooperative's success should be measured by the extent to which its achievements and benefits are returned to its members, rather than solely by profit figures.
Meanwhile, Koperasi Tentera chairman Lt Gen (Rtd) Datuk Zaidan Atan attributed the increase in revenue to growth in personal financing, small and medium enterprise financing, and Ar-Rahnu services, along with higher income from insurance and investment activities. He reported that the cooperative had 154,797 members as of December 2025, including 117,301 serving military personnel, 9,618 civil servants, and 27,878 retired military personnel.
Zaidan noted that Koperasi Tentera, approaching its 66th anniversary, has retained its Premier Cooperative status in the Top 100 Cooperatives Profile compiled by the Malaysia Cooperative Societies Commission for the sixth consecutive year. The event was attended by prominent figures including Chief of Defence Force and Koperasi Tentera president Gen Tan Sri Malek Razak Sulaiman, Army chief Gen Tan Sri Azhan Md Othman, Navy chief Admiral Tan Sri Dr Zulhelmy Ithnain, and Air Force chief Gen Tan Sri Muhamad Norazlan Aris, who also serve as Koperasi Tentera vice-presidents.
