Johor bahru: Arif Aiman Hanapi has become Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT)’s highest local goal-getter, having scored 61 goals in all competitions.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Arif Aiman, 23, set the record following the brace he notched in JDT’s 7-0 thrashing of PDRM FC in a Super League match at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium on Saturday (Oct 4).
A post uploaded to the Johor Southern Tigers Facebook page mentioned that this achievement allowed Arif to surpass the previous record of 59 goals set by the club’s former captain and legend, Safiq Rahim. The statement highlighted that only two foreign players, Bergson Da Silva and Gonzalo Cabrera, have scored more goals for JDT, with 166 and 66 goals respectively.
Arif, who reached this milestone in 170 matches, has also provided 66 assists for the club. His goal tally includes 30 goals in the Super League, eight in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League Elite, 10 in the FA Cup, 12 in the Malaysia Cup, and one in the ASEAN Club Championship.
