Archery: Fatin Wins World Cup Silver In Madrid

Madrid: National archer Fatin Nurfatehah Mat Salleh won the women's compound silver medal at the fourth stage of the 2026 World Cup in Madrid on Saturday. Fatin lost 148-150 to world No. 2 Ella Gibson of Great Britain in the final held at the Vallehermoso Stadium.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the 35-year-old advanced to the final after defeating India's Prithika Pradeep 144-142 in the semi-finals. Prithika later claimed the bronze medal by beating Turkiye's Hazal Burun 145-142.

The result in Madrid continued Fatin's impressive run this year after she won three medals at the opening leg of the Asia Cup in Bangkok last March. Fatin had previously won the women's compound team gold medal at the 2015 World Cup in Shanghai and a mixed team bronze medal at the 2023 World Cup in Antalya.
