Subang jaya: The local baby diaper brand Applecrumby has now entered the adult care segment with the launch of Liv and Branche, its first adult diaper today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Applecrumby co-founders Sean and Jesmine Tan mentioned that the expansion is part of the company's efforts to support the needs of families, not only taking care of children but also ageing parents. "When we started Applecrumby, we were just two parents who wanted to ensure our child was safe and comfortable. Years later, we are still discussing the same things, but now it involves our own parents or the parents of our friends. Liv and Branche was born from the intention -- to repay those who have cared for and sacrificed for us," said the company's statement today.
The launch event of Liv and Branche was officiated today by the Selangor Women Development and Social Welfare Committee chairman Anfaal Saari at Sunway Sanctuary in Subang Jaya, Selangor.
According to Applecrumby, Liv and Branche features a chlorine-free and antibacterial absorbent core designed to help maintain dryness and skin health, especially for adult users with more sensitive skin. The series is also designed to provide daily protection, comfort and dignity to users, in addition to Applecrumby supporting elderly care organisations, caregiver communities, and social impact initiatives through product donations, awareness programmes and community collaborations.
Meanwhile, Applecrumby also organised the forum 'Living Golden: Redefining What It Means to Age Well' which discussed the increasing elderly population, caregiver challenges, and the need to prepare society for the ageing process. The forum brought together representatives from Applecrumby, Sunway University, Sunway Sanctuary, the SeniorsAloud Community, as well as the Alzheimer caregiver and advocacy community.
Among the matters discussed were efforts to counter misunderstandings about the ageing process and approaches to help the elderly maintain an active lifestyle, social connections and dignity. Applecrumby products are now available at over 1,500 retail locations nationwide and on track to reach 2,000 locations by the end of this year, including leading retail chains such as Manjaku and Alpro Pharmacy.
Meanwhile, Liv and Branche SkinGuard+ is now available through the official Liv and Branche online store. In conjunction with its launch, Liv and Branche is also offering a special launch promotion to the public.
