Kelantan: PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today reminded leadership at all levels not to be complacent and waste time with trivial disputes, but instead focus on their responsibilities to the people. Speaking at the Kelantan Keadilan Mini Convention 2026 here, he also called on the party machinery to close ranks and prepare to face the challenges of the upcoming election.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar emphasized the need for preparation ahead of the general election, urging effort and work to take precedence over arguments about trivial matters. He advised against dwelling on problems, stating that such issues would not resolve themselves. Anwar openly criticized the attitude of some party leaders who showed enthusiasm only during campaigns but were lax in their duties and attendance at meetings after securing positions.
Anwar encouraged party members who felt fatigued to request leave, emphasizing that the party belongs to the people and is meant for those committed to working for the people's welfare. He highlighted the importance of active participation, noting that allocations would be channeled based on branch performance, with priority given to branches that are active and have successfully increased membership. Anwar made it clear that branches without growth or activities would not receive allocations.
