Anwar Urges GLCs to Address Traders’ and Public’s Challenges Post-Floods.

KUALA LUMPUR: Government-linked companies (GLC) should be sensitive to the burden shouldered by traders and the public, especially regarding facilities linked to building rental and financial repayment, following the recent floods that swept the country. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim stated that he highlighted the issue during the Yayasan Pelaburan Bumiputera Board of Trustees meeting, which he chaired today. The meeting focused on the impact of the floods on traders and the public.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar shared in a Facebook post that the meeting also discussed the development of companies under the foundation in their efforts to support government initiatives. These discussions included the GEAR-uP programme and resolutions from the Bumiputera Economic Congress.
