Kuala Lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today had an audience with the Sultan of Kedah, Al-Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah, at Istana Anak Bukit, Alor Setar, Kedah. In this meeting, Anwar took the opportunity to discuss significant matters related to both national and regional development, as well as issues concerning the well-being and welfare of the people.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar shared details of the meeting in a Facebook post, where he highlighted the topics discussed with the Sultan. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of addressing the developmental needs of Kedah alongside national interests. Anwar also expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to engage in dialogue with the Sultan on these critical issues.

Following the audience, Anwar joined the Sultan and Tengku Sarafudin Badlishah Ibni Sultan Sallehuddin, the Raja Muda of Kedah, for lunch. The Prime Minister concluded his post with a prayer for the well-being of the Sultan, Sultanah, and the entire royal family, expressing his respect and support with the traditional salutation “Daulat Tuanku.”
