Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was today granted an audience with His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, and the Regent of Johor, Tunku Mahkota Ismail, to exchange views on the country’s economic development and Johor’s growth prospects. The meeting focused on ensuring balanced development among the states and discussing strategies for enhancing the nation’s economic competitiveness.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the audience followed the launch of the Maharani Freeport in Tanjung Emas, Muar. Anwar emphasized the importance of the MADANI Government’s commitment to strengthening the country’s competitiveness. He expressed that every development initiative must result in tangible benefits for the people across the nation.
Sultan Ibrahim consented to officiate the launch of the country’s first duty-free energy freeport, the Maharani Freeport, at the Maharani Energy Gateway (MEG) Complex in Tanjung Emas, Muar. This development is expected to play a significant role in Johor’s growth and contribute to Malaysia’s overall economic progress.
