Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today extended his birthday greetings to former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who turns 101. "May Tun continue to be blessed with grace, good health, and be under His blessings, Insya-Allah," Anwar expressed in a Facebook post dedicated to the former leader.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr Mahathir, born on July 10, 1925, in Alor Setar, Kedah, has had a significant impact on Malaysia's political landscape, serving as prime minister twice. His first tenure lasted 22 years, from 1981 to 2003, and he was reappointed in 2018, serving until 2020. Notably, at the age of 92, Dr Mahathir became the world's oldest serving prime minister, a testament to his enduring influence and commitment to his country.
