Kuala lumpur: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has confirmed receiving an invitation from the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, to attend the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha on September 15. The Prime Minister noted that the summit will focus on discussing the latest developments in Gaza and the Zionist attacks on the territory, which he described as excessive.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar emphasized that despite the invitation, he will remain in the country to participate in the national-level Malaysia Day celebration in Penang on September 16. Speaking to reporters after a meeting with the Sarawak Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Leadership Council (MPN), he stated that Malaysia’s stance on Gaza is based on universal humanitarian values.
