Kuala lumpur: Hours before the campaign period officially closes at 11:59 pm today, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim turned to TikTok to make a final plea to voters in anticipation of tomorrow's polling day.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, besides Anwar, who also chairs Pakatan Harapan (PH), the online message included appearances from Amanah president Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu and DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke. This broadcast was live-streamed on the Pakatan Harapan Official TikTok account as part of their outreach strategy.

Later in the day, Anwar is scheduled to participate in the Grand Finale Kekal Harapan event in Bahau, marking the final campaign rally for PH before the 16th Negeri Sembilan state election. The event is set to feature PH communications director Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil, along with coalition leaders and candidates contesting in the state polls.

A total of 859,760 registered voters, including 7,391 postal voters, are eligible to vote tomorrow to elect representatives for 36 state assembly seats. Early voting conducted on Tuesday saw a turnout of 14,995 voters, or 91.06 percent of those eligible.

PH is the sole coalition contesting all 36 state seats, while BN has candidates in 25 constituencies, Bersatu in 24, and Perikatan Nasional (PN) in 11. Additionally, four independent candidates and single representatives from Barisan Jemaah Islamiah Se-Malaysia (Berjasa), Parti Orang Asli Malaysia (ASLI), and Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) are in the fray.

The dissolution of the Negeri Sembilan State Legislative Assembly on June 5, with the consent of Yang Dipertuan Besar Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, set the stage for this state election. In the 2023 state election, PH emerged as the largest bloc with 17 of the 36 state assembly seats, followed by BN with 14 and PN with five.
