KUALA LUMPUR: Squash legend Datuk Nicol Ann David proudly shared today that she has received a prestigious certificate from the Harvard Business School Online Certificate Programme after successfully completing the course ‘Power and Influence for Positive Impact.’

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Nicol expressed that for many years she believed she wouldn’t be able to access this form of education, having dedicated her professional life to squash and not attending university to focus entirely on the sport. However, she realized it was a misconception to think that way, as her experience studying at Harvard has been empowering and crucial in building her confidence as a leader, particularly as a former athlete.

Nicol mentioned that she was fortunate to receive a scholarship to attend the course, thanks to a recommendation from Harvard Social Innovation + Change Initiative (SICI) by @lily_lapenna. She extended special gratitude to a fellow Malaysian, friend, and supporter, @sarahchenglobal, who facilitated
this opportunity for her. Nicol expressed her eternal gratitude to Sarah for reaching out and making this possible. She also congratulated Julie Battilana from @harvardkennedyschool for developing the inspiring course.

Furthermore, Nicol hopes that this achievement marks the beginning of many academic accomplishments in her new journey as she manages her foundation. She emphasized that this serves as a reminder to believe in her capabilities to pursue further academic excellence.
