Amirudin: Selangor Madani Education Conference Platform To Strengthen State Education Ecosystem

Shah alam: The Selangor government today launched the Selangor MADANI Education Conference as a platform to formulate policies towards strengthening the state’s education ecosystem. Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari emphasized that, alongside implementing new policies, the initiative also addresses the crucial issue of safety in schools, which is currently a community concern.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the conference, set to follow the Education Reform Forum, aims to involve more stakeholders to allow the state government a comprehensive examination of education issues. “It will involve more parties for us to look at and these include the content of education, security issues and other matters,” Amirudin stated. The goal is to engage several specific groups to successfully create policies and programmes to fortify the education ecosystem in Selangor.

Amirudin made these remarks while speaking to reporters after officiating the Forum Reformasi Pendidikan dan Cabaran Masa Kini: Punya Arah atau Hilang Arah?, organized by the Selangor government at the Raja Tun Uda Library auditorium. The forum was conducted by Selangor Student Development Secretariat head Mohd Hidayat Mohd Sauffi and included participation from four panel members: Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) vice chancellor Datuk Prof Dr Md Amin Md Taff, Senator Dr Jufitri Joha, and Batu Tiga assemblyman Danial Al-Rashid Haron Aminar Rashid.

Selangor’s initiative marks it as the first state to host a discussion involving multiple stakeholders to explore the challenges and direction of the current education system.
