Kuala lumpur: Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun's decision to contest the Linggi state seat in the 16th Negeri Sembilan State Election has been described as a bold move.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) vice-president Datuk Chang Lih Kang emphasized the significance of this decision, noting that Linggi has been a Barisan Nasional (BN) stronghold since the 1970s. Chang remarked that Aminuddin's choice to contest in Linggi signals that he is undeterred by political challenges from his opponents. As a leader, Aminuddin aims to confront his opponents directly in their stronghold while spearheading Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidates in the Negeri Sembilan state election.

Chang expressed confidence in Aminuddin's proven ability to govern effectively, particularly highlighting his success in attracting investments and driving economic growth. He believes these achievements will resonate with Linggi voters across different communities. In a Facebook post, Chang reiterated PH's commitment to promoting justice, stability, and unity in Malaysia's diverse society, while rejecting divisive politics.

The Science, Technology and Innovation Minister also expressed hope that Aminuddin, who holds the positions of Negeri Sembilan PH chairman and state PKR chairman, will receive a mandate from the people to continue fostering economic development and ensuring the welfare of the populace. Early voting for the Negeri Sembilan state election is scheduled for July 28, with polling day set for August 1.
