Kuala Lumpur:Negeri Sembilan Former Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun has requested current Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim to clarify the alleged shortcomings of the previous administration that reportedly affected the state's customary traditions and royal institution.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Aminuddin emphasized the public's right to know what actions were allegedly neglected during his tenure, specifically concerning the Laws of the Constitution of Negeri Sembilan (UUTKNS) 1959, and when these alleged violations occurred.
Aminuddin expressed his willingness to take responsibility for the decisions made during his time as Menteri Besar by offering relevant documents and legal provisions based on official records. He urged Ismail to provide specific details regarding any offenses or breaches of the law.
Ismail had previously stated that the issues in the state were inherited from the previous administration, not initiated by the current one. Aminuddin also questioned Ismail's decision to sign a proclamation document concerning the position of the Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, which Aminuddin had chosen not to sign due to doubts about the process.
Aminuddin highlighted that Article 10 of the UUTKNS 1959 outlines the procedures for the position of the Yang Dipertuan Besar, emphasizing the need for a full and complete inquiry to ensure the process was properly followed.
