Amer Harris Aims for Victory in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Debut

Sepang: Young Malaysian racer Amer Harris Jefry is setting his sights on securing the overall title as he prepares to make his debut in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia (PCCA) at the Sepang International Circuit from June 6-8.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the 22-year-old, sponsored by CIMB Group Holdings Berhad, is optimistic about achieving his goal, especially since the race will take place on his home turf in Sepang. “I have spent thousands of hours training in Sepang. So, I’m confident I can at Sepang. Whatever it is, my mission is to clinch the overall title, but it won’t be easy because there will be stiff competition from other drivers who have been in the game a long time,” Amer Harris stated during an event celebrating the collaboration between CIMB and himself. The event was also attended by Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh.

In addition to his immediate racing goals, Amer Harris has his sights set on competing in the Super GT in Japan in the next three to four years, viewing it as an ideal platform to showcase his skills.
