Kuala lumpur: A total of 2,554 files involving estates valued at RM3,000 and below were settled by Amanah Raya Bhd between January and December 2025, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) said.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, in a written reply to the Dewan Rakyat, published on Parliament's website, the ministry stated that Amanah Raya employs a tiered and reasonable fee structure based on the value of the estate administered, specifically aiming for low charges in small-value cases. For estates valued at RM3,000 and below, only a minimum fee of RM50 is imposed.
The ministry further explained that the government plans to continue its support for Amanah Raya by enhancing its role through improvements in governance, service digitalisation, reasonable fee structures, and inter-agency cooperation. These measures are intended to ensure efficient estate administration, safeguard heirs' rights, and reduce the incidence of unclaimed assets in a comprehensive and sustained manner.
