Shanghai: Global credit rating agency, AM Best, is set to participate in a panel discussion at the 2025 Shanghai International Reinsurance Conference, which is scheduled to run for four days, concluding on October 24, in Shanghai, China. The event, recognized as one of the largest annual gatherings for reinsurers worldwide, will be hosted at the Lingang Xinchen International Conference Center in Shanghai’s Lingang Special Area.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, AM Best’s Singapore operations managing director and chief executive officer, Rob Curtis, will be part of a global reinsurance advisory panel. This closed-door meeting will focus on the theme ‘Consensus and Mechanisms for Contract Performance Management in the Reinsurance Market’. Curtis, who has been with AM Best since 2022, brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles with Hong Kong’s Insurance Authority and the International Association of Insurance Supervisors.

The conference is expected to draw over 1,300 participants from around two dozen countries and regions, underscoring its significance in the global reinsurance landscape. AM Best, headquartered in the United States, operates in more than 100 countries, with regional offices strategically located in cities such as London, Amsterdam, Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Mexico City.
