Tokyo: AM Best has affirmed the Financial Strength Rating of A- (Excellent) and the Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of 'a-' (Excellent) of The Japan Ship Owners' Mutual Protection and Indemnity Association, commonly known as Japan P and I or the Club. The outlook for these credit ratings remains stable.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the ratings reflect Japan P and I's balance sheet strength, which is assessed as very strong by AM Best. Additionally, the association's operating performance is deemed adequate, its business profile is considered neutral, and its enterprise risk management (ERM) is viewed as appropriate.
