Kuala Lumpur: Allianz Life is making significant strides in promoting gender equality through its #SheSecures initiative, which aims to provide women with opportunities to build and sustain careers while managing family commitments. The program has already seen a positive reception in Malaysia, with over 100 participants from varied backgrounds attending its inaugural session, eager to explore new career opportunities.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Allianz Life is dedicated to offering women a second chance to restart their careers after dedicating time to full-time family care. The initiative provides financial support to help women embark on entrepreneurial ventures as part of their transition back into the workforce. Flexible working hours are a key feature of the program, allowing participants to balance professional and personal responsibilities effectively.
Currently, within the Allianz Asia Pacific (AZAP) region, 54 percent of the agency workforce comprises women, while men make up the remaining 46 percent. China stands out as a leader with 71 percent female representation among its agents. Malaysia, Thailand, and Taiwan also boast over 50 percent female participation, indicating a strong regional commitment to gender diversity.
Cheah, a representative from Allianz Life, emphasized the company’s recognition of its social responsibility to provide job security for women.
