Kuala Lampur:Tribe Payments, a global fintech company specializing in issuer and acquirer processing, has appointed Alex Lim as Head of Sales and Solutions for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. Lim will report directly to Matt Weir, Tribe's General Manager for APAC, and will focus on driving new business development, forming strategic partnerships, and leading regional solution design.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Lim previously served as General Manager of Merchant Services for APAC at Pure Commerce, a Euronet Worldwide company. He brings 13 years of experience in payments, covering sales, partnerships, and product development, with a strong background in business development and payment solution design.

Matt Weir expressed enthusiasm about Lim's appointment, highlighting his extensive experience and understanding of the needs of banks and payment providers in the region. Weir noted that Lim's expertise would be instrumental as Tribe Payments continues to expand its processing business with clients and partners across the APAC region.

Tribe Payments has made significant investments in the APAC region, including the opening of a Singapore office in 2024, to enhance its regional presence, support existing clients, and foster new partnerships. The company provides comprehensive digital payment solutions to fintechs and banks, enabling them to operate efficiently in both card and non-card payment environments.
