Sarawak: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has announced a continuous rain warning at the alert level for several regions in Sarawak. This warning is effective from tomorrow and will last until Saturday, affecting areas such as Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, and Mukah.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia released a statement today detailing the specific areas in Sarawak that will experience continuous rain. The warning comes as a precautionary measure to inform and prepare residents in the affected regions.
The weather department also provided updates concerning other parts of Malaysia. Previously issued continuous rain warnings for Kelantan, involving districts like Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, Tanah Merah, Bachok, Machang, and Pasir Puteh, have been lifted. Similarly, the warnings for Terengganu and parts of Pahang, including Jerantut, Maran, Kuantan, Pekan, and Rompin, have also been removed.
Additionally, the alert for Johor, specifically in the areas of Mersing and Kota Tinggi, has been lifted, indicating an improvement in weather conditions in these regions. Residents are advised to remain updated with weather forecasts and take necessary precautions if residing in the areas still under warning.
