Alam Flora Pledges Full Cooperation With Probe Into Garbage Lorry Crash

Kuala lumpur: Alam Flora has pledged its full cooperation with authorities in the probe into a crash involving one of its compactor garbage lorries along Jalan Pantai Murni 1, Pantai Hillpark, yesterday. The company has stated that the vehicle will undergo an inspection to determine the exact cause of the incident, as per the investigating officer's instructions.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Alam Flora emphasised its commitment to the safety of its workers, contractors, and the general public. The company expressed regret over the incident's impact on the community and assured that it is taking the matter seriously. Necessary follow-up actions will be implemented based on the investigation's findings.

The incident occurred early yesterday morning when the garbage lorry reportedly experienced brake failure, leading to a loss of control and collision with a condominium's perimeter wall. The driver of the lorry has reported the incident to the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Police Station. A breathalyser test conducted by the police confirmed that the driver was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

The compactor lorry will be sent to the Computerised Vehicle Inspection Centre (Puspakom) for a thorough examination. The case is currently being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
