Amritsar: AirAsia Malaysia has temporarily suspended its flights to and from Amritsar, India, following the closure of Amritsar’s Sri Guru Ramdas Jee International Airport. The decision comes amid escalating tensions between Pakistan and India, prompting the airline to prioritize the safety and security of its passengers and crew.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, AirAsia Group Bhd announced that the suspension is in effect from May 7 to May 9. The airline has assured that it is closely monitoring the situation and has informed all affected passengers about the temporary suspension. Travelers planning to fly to or from Amritsar are advised to check their registered email and mobile phones for updates on their flight status.
