AirAsia Launches Campaign to Support Typhoon Relief Efforts in the Philippines

Kuala lumpur: AirAsia has announced a significant initiative to support relief and recovery efforts in the Philippines following recent natural disasters. The airline will donate 15 pesos for every seat sold from November 15, 2025, to January 14, 2026. This contribution is aimed at aiding typhoon relief and recovery programs in the region.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the initiative is part of AirAsia’s “To the Philippines with Love” campaign, which was launched to express ASEAN solidarity after recent natural disasters, including an earthquake in Cebu in September and Typhoon Tino (Kalmaegi) that severely affected the region. Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, Capital A chief executive officer and AirAsia Aviation Group advisor, stated in a press release, “We hope AirAsia’s contribution can bring hope, help rebuild businesses and enable residents to get back on their feet.”

The funds raised through this campaign will be managed by the AirAsia Foundation, the airline group’s philanthropic arm. The foundation will focus on supporting relief and rebuilding projects, prioritizing community infrastructure, training, and awareness to enhance the capacity of vulnerable communities in responding to future calamities.
