AIGA 2025: MBPG and Duopharma Biotech Honored with Prime Minister’s Award

Kuala lumpur: Pasir Gudang City Council (MBPG) and Duopharma Biotech Bhd were named recipients of the Prime Minister’s Award in the public and private sector categories, respectively, at the 2025 Integrity, Governance and Anti-Corruption Awards (AIGA). The awards were presented by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim following his address at the Majlis Amanat Perdana Integriti Nasional (MAPIN) which marked the launch of National Integrity Month, observed every November.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, both organisations were recognised for their commitment to embedding integrity, good governance, and anti-corruption principles into their operations. Each received a certificate, trophy, and RM50,000 in prize money.

MBPG Mayor Datin Paduka Hazlina Jalil stated that the council remains committed to upholding transparency and accountability in delivering services to Pasir Gudang residents. She mentioned that former mayor Datuk Mustafa Kamal laid a solid foundation in governance and integrity, and it is now her responsibility to build on that legacy and continuously enhance efficiency and transparency. She expressed gratitude to previous leaders and MBPG staff for their role in fostering a strong culture of integrity.

Also present at the ceremony were Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, Public Service Department director-general Tan Sri Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz, Communications Ministry secretary-general Datuk Seri Mohamad Fauzi Md Isa, and Bernama chief executive officer Datin Paduka Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin.
