Kuala Krai: Motorists are advised to be wary of 11 accident hotspots in Kuala Krai, including traffic light intersections, during the Aidilfitri festive season. Kuala Krai district police chief Supt Mazlan Mamat said these locations are at seven Federal Roads and four traffic light intersections.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, among the Federal Roads involved are Kilometre (KM) 55-56 of Jalan Kota Bharu-Gua Musang (Telekong), KM 56-58 of Jalan Kota Bharu-Gua Musang (Keroh), KM 62 at Staponal Factory junction, and KM 75-77 of Jalan Kota Bharu-Gua Musang (Pahi).

The four accident-prone traffic light intersections are Guchil Lama, Batu Balai, the Sungai Durian-Chenulang junction, and the Pak Sin Keroh bend, he told Bernama after attending a road safety campaign event in Kampung Pahi, here today.

Commenting further, Mazlan said despite the heavy traffic congestion in Kuala Krai during the festive period, only one fatal accident was recorded last year during the Aidilfitri season.
