Petra Jaya: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof has announced that an artificial intelligence (AI) course for community leaders in the Petra Jaya parliamentary constituency will be introduced soon in collaboration with Microsoft Malaysia.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fadillah, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for Petra Jaya, stated that the initiative aims to curb technology misuse and drive economic growth. ‘One of our key focuses is mastering AI and other technologies to ensure they are used for positive purposes, such as disseminating accurate information and enhancing leadership management,” he said.

The AI course will specifically target community leaders, teachers, youth, and entrepreneurs, providing them with essential technological skills to market their products effectively. Fadillah highlighted this initiative while officiating the annual grant presentation ceremony for Village Development and Security Committees (JKKKs), mosques, and surau in his constituency.

Earlier in his speech, Fadillah encouraged all segments of society in Petra Jaya to embrace AI and technology in governance. At the ceremony, a total of RM591,000 in annual grants was distributed to 87 JKKKs and 30 mosques to support various initiatives throughout the year.
