Ahmad Zahid Prays For National Contingent’s Success In Glasgow

Kuala lumpur: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has extended his support and prayers to the national contingent as they begin their quest for honours at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, he said the proud display of the Jalur Gemilang at the opening ceremony early this morning marked the beginning of the Malaysian contingent's campaign at the Games, carrying the hopes, prayers, and unwavering support of the entire nation.

Ahmad Zahid expressed his wishes for all athletes, coaches, and officials of the national contingent to achieve success as they represent Malaysia throughout the Games. He encouraged them to compete with confidence, uphold the spirit of sportsmanship, and give their best for the nation.

He also prayed that the Malaysian contingent would have a smooth campaign, be blessed with good health, safety, and strength throughout the Games, as they strive to deliver proud moments for the nation.

The 2026 Commonwealth Games are taking place in Glasgow, Scotland, from July 23 to Aug 2.
