Ahmad Zahid Offers Condolences After Discovery of Family Dead in Sungai Korok

Alor setar: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi expressed his condolences to the next of kin of the family of six who were found dead in a car in Sungai Korok near Jitra, Kedah today. Ahmad Zahid said the incident had a profound impact on all Malaysians, especially when it involved the entire family, including young children.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Zahid conveyed his sorrow over the tragedy involving the family. In a statement shared on his Facebook page, he described his heartbreak upon hearing the news of the family found in a submerged vehicle and extended his prayers for their strength in this difficult time. He urged others to join in prayer for the deceased to be placed among the faithful.

He also thanked the fire brigade, police, Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM), and others involved in the search and rescue operation since the incident was reported. Ahmad Zahid expressed his hope for a smooth identification and management process of the remains.

The family had been missing since last Saturday, and their disappearance became a mystery until the bodies were discovered in the car. The next of kin confirmed that the deceased were indeed the family members. The victims were identified as husband and wife Mohamad Azim Izat Ishak, 32, Nurul Hidayah Khadijah Razman Efendi, 31, and their children Putra Rayyan Nur Izzat, 9, Hawa Adriana Nur Izzat, 8, Annayla Humaira Nur Izzat, 7, and Tuah Haydar, 6 months.
