Putrajaya:Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has expressed his appreciation to outgoing Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia, Ouyang Yujing, for his efforts in strengthening bilateral relations during his tenure.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Zahid, who also serves as Rural and Regional Development Minister, acknowledged Ouyang's dedication to enhancing cooperation between the governments, business sectors, and people of both nations. The appreciation was expressed in a Facebook post following a farewell courtesy call from Ouyang.
Ahmad Zahid noted the shared experiences and achievements during Ouyang's time in Malaysia, thanking him for his service and wishing him success in future endeavors. He expressed hope for the continued growth of Malaysia-China relations for the benefit of both countries.
During their meeting, both parties discussed the growing ties between Malaysia and China and explored potential areas for future cooperation. Ahmad Zahid emphasized the importance of maintaining and strengthening the long-standing relationship based on mutual respect and benefit.
Ouyang, who is the 16th Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia, concludes his nearly five years and 10 months of service.
