Serdang: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has expressed his condolences to the family of former journalist and media officer at the UMNO President's Office, Datuk Jailani Harun, who died today. The UMNO president said he had visited Jailani at Serdang Hospital early this morning and described him as a kind, humble, and well-respected individual.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Zahid shared his thoughts on Facebook, saying, "My heart ached when I saw his condition then. I was still hoping for a miracle, but Allah SWT loved him more." He extended his heartfelt condolences to Jailani's family, wishing them strength and fortitude during this difficult time. Ahmad Zahid also prayed for Allah to forgive Jailani's sins, bestow mercy upon him, and place him among His faithful and righteous servants.

Jailani passed away at 11.34 am at Serdang Hospital at the age of 66. He will be buried at the Alam Damai Muslim cemetery in Cheras after asar prayers.
