Kuala lumpur: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi congratulated Moto3 racer Muhammad Hakim Danish Ramli for his third-place win at the Italian Grand Prix at Mugello Circuit today. He described the result as meaningful as it was the first time a Malaysian secured a Moto3 podium finish in almost a decade.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Zahid expressed his excitement and pride over the achievement, stating, 'Extraordinary! Congratulations to Hakim Danish Ramli on winning third place in the Italian GP at Mugello Circuit today,' in a Facebook post. The Deputy Prime Minister also expressed his hope that this milestone would inspire Muhammad Hakim Danish to pursue further victories and bring more accolades to the nation.

This podium finish at the Italian Grand Prix marks the 18-year-old racer's first time on the podium after seven races this season.
