Kuala lumpur: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has called on the young generation, who are future leaders, to rise with courage and conviction, becoming the voice of justice and the light of peace. Speaking at the opening of the International Young Future Leaders Summit (iFUTURE) 2025 here tonight, he urged them to listen, collaborate and unite in a shared voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Zahid emphasized the importance of carrying the cry of the oppressed, the forgotten, and the displaced, including the people of Palestine. He expressed hope for a future where Palestine is free and reiterated Malaysia’s support for the Palestinians and the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF). He highlighted the need for leaders to master knowledge and nurture sincerity of heart, serving not for fame but for faithfulness.
Ahmad Zahid stated that leadership is a sacred trust of intellect and character, emphasizing that the world needs more attentive listeners rather than eloquent speakers. He shared his belief that great leadership stems from love for humanity and devotion to justice. The iFUTURE 2025 summit, he noted, represents a movement that redefines the meaning of power from domination to service, and from self-promotion to self-sacrifice, focusing on how the world should be led rather than who will lead it.
He urged the youth to guide technology with values and use social media to unite and spread truth. Ahmad Zahid reminded them that leadership is not measured by the number of followers but by the truth upheld, with humanity prevailing over algorithms, integrity over popularity, and knowledge over noise.
