Bangi: Malaysian Islamic Youth Movement (ABIM) president, Ahmad Fahmi Mohd Samsudin, continues to lead the youth organization for a second term from 2025 to 2027. He was re-elected during the 54th Muktamar Belia Islam (Islamic Youth Congress), which took place at the Bangi Avenue Convention Centre (BACC).
According to BERNAMA News Agency, ABIM Secretary-General Ahmad Fawwaz Ahmad Shukri announced Ahmad Fahmi’s re-election as president. The congress also saw Ustaz Mohamad Saifuddin Abdul Latiff taking over the deputy president role from Dr Mohd Faridh Hafez Mhd Omar. This change marks a significant shift in leadership as Ustaz Mohamad Saifuddin was the former president of ABIM Perak.
The organization’s leadership team was further expanded with the appointment of five vice-presidents: Muhammad Aliemran Norasid, Dr Fatin Nur Majdina Nordin, Adli Zakuan Zairakithnaini, Dr Mohamad Haeqal Ishak, and Salman Mohd Yusop. Additional roles were filled by Muhammad Dzul Aiman Zulkefly as Assistant Secretary-General and Wan Noor Fadhilah Wan Ibrahim as Financial Secretary.
The Secretary-General emphasized that this congress represents a strategic turning point for ABIM as it aims to enhance its role as a platform for Islamic youth leadership. The focus is on addressing the evolving challenges faced by Generation Z in the rapidly changing post-normal world.
