According to BERNAMA News Agency, the sales were carried out through 30 FAMA marketing outlets in the state, including the Farmers’ Markets, Agrobazaar Rakyat, Agrobazaar Kedai Rakyat, and Fresh Fruit Stalls (GBBS). The initiative aims to expand public access to fresh products at affordable prices while providing opportunities for agropreneurs to boost their income, as stated by the agency’s director, Mohd Anzara Azizan.
A total of 150 MADANI Merdeka Special Combo Sales packs, each containing one kilogram of sugar, eggs, and a packet of cooking oil, were offered to consumers at RM6 per pack. These packs were sold out within half an hour of the launch event, highlighting the demand and success of the programme.
Mohd Anzara mentioned that the programme is part of the National Month celebrations to foster patriotic spirit and will run until August 31 at selected locations in Perlis. This initiative aims to further fuel patriotic sentiment among FAMA entrepreneurs and the community while also offering affordable essential goods to consumers.
