Aerospace Industry Aims for RM30 Billion Revenue Boost This Year


Kuala lumpur: The Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry is optimistic about the aerospace industry’s growth, projecting revenue to reach RM30 billion this year, an increase from RM25.1 billion recorded in 2024. Its Minister, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz, expressed confidence based on the current prospects and positive developments in existing projects and pipelines.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Tengku Zafrul highlighted the rapid development within the aerospace industry during the launch of the MyAERO Summit 2026 and the 10th anniversary celebration of the National Aerospace Industry Corporation (NAICO) Malaysia. He noted that last year’s revenue of RM25.1 billion was the highest in the past decade, supporting 30,000 skilled workers in the aerospace ecosystem.

Malaysia has seen significant new investments shaping the country’s aerospace landscape in recent years, including Airbus and Boeing’s expansion and CTRM’s leadership in composite manufacturing. These developments reflect the confide
nce of both foreign and domestic investors in Malaysia’s capabilities as a hub for advanced, high-value aerospace manufacturing in the Asia Pacific region.

Tengku Zafrul also spoke about the MyAERO Summit scheduled for June 2026, describing it as an important international annual gateway to aerospace technology, business, and talent networks. The summit aims to unite regional stakeholders, including global OEMs, local champions, policymakers, researchers, and skilled talent. It will also facilitate better engagement with small and medium enterprises and the general public, emphasizing the sector’s immense opportunities and attracting more STEM talent.
