Aeronas Aerocraft Secures Significant Order from Hong Kong Consortium

Kuala lumpur: Malaysian light aircraft manufacturer Aeronas Aerocraft Sdn Bhd has successfully secured an order for 50 light aircraft valued at US$85 million (RM357 million) from Consortium Wholechoice, a company based in Hong Kong.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Raja Shazreen Petra Raja Azman Shah Petra, the managing director and acting chief executive officer of Aeronas, announced that the company has received a confirmed order for 30 six-seater aircraft, including the MYPX5 MARK I and MYPX5 MARK II models. The additional 20 aircraft are expected to be finalized by September. The first delivery of 15 aircraft is set for phased delivery during the first and second quarters of 2027 to support Consortium Wholechoice's flight training school and aircraft leasing operations across Asia.

Under the agreement, Aeronas has appointed Wholechoice as the first regional distributor for its aircraft, marking a significant step for the Malaysian manufacturer to expand its reach into other Asia-Pacific markets. Aeronas's vice-president of business development and finance, Suhaimi Halim, mentioned that the company is currently in talks with several parties from Singapore, Hong Kong, and China to secure additional firm orders, primarily from aircraft traders and investment banks. They plan to introduce an aircraft leasing program for clients, including airlines and aircraft operators outside Malaysia.

Halim also stated that Aeronas aims to enhance its domestic operations by establishing a manufacturing plant with an annual production capacity of up to 180 aircraft. The company has received several land offers from states such as Sabah, Selangor, Kedah, and Pahang to support the development of this manufacturing facility.
