Selangor: Selangor civil servants are set to receive an additional Special Financial Aid (BKK) equivalent to half a month’s salary, with a minimum payout of RM1,000, as a result of the state’s robust financial performance.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari announced that the additional BKK, facilitated through the State Revenue Record Incentive, will be distributed in stages, with a deadline set for no later than April 15. This initiative is part of the government’s effort to acknowledge and reward the hard work of civil servants in enhancing the state’s financial health.
The incentive, which will benefit approximately 18,000 state civil servants, carries a financial implication exceeding RM26 million. Amirudin highlighted the state’s commendable performance, with current revenue collections reaching RM691 million, as the foundation for these incentives. These announcements were made during the MADANI Ramadan Harmony event attended by Selangor civil servants.
Amirudin further revealed that the incentive would be extended to various community leaders, including village liaison officers, Indian community leaders, women’s empowerment supervisors, and Selangor youth movers, who will receive a half-month allowance or a minimum of RM500. Mosque workers are also set to receive RM500, which will be provided through the Menteri Besar Selangor Corporation.
In a gesture of appreciation, the state government will extend support to federal civil servants operating in Selangor, such as police personnel, soldiers, teachers, and nurses. Those among them earning a basic salary of RM3,000 and below will receive a contribution of RM250.
