Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Islamic Youth Movement (ABIM) has been instrumental in influencing the mindset and ideals of the younger generation since its inception on August 6, 1971, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim stated.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar emphasized in a Facebook post that ABIM has served as a key player in shaping leaders characterized by integrity and a commitment to the people. As a missionary and welfare organization, ABIM is deeply rooted in knowledge and social awareness.
Anwar extended his congratulations to ABIM on its 54th anniversary, expressing hopes that the organization will continue to serve as a moral compass for society. He highlighted the importance of ABIM facing contemporary challenges with wisdom and courage while remaining a strategic partner in fostering a more just and dignified future for Malaysia.
In his remarks, Anwar, who previously served as president of ABIM, acknowledged the organization’s pivotal role in strengthening a progressive understanding of Islam. He also commended ABIM for its efforts in advocating for social change and supporting a human development agenda aligned with the aspirations of MADANI Malaysia.
