Manchester: Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has commenced an official working visit to Manchester and Bristol in the United Kingdom, as well as Dublin, Ireland, which will run until May 5. The visit is aimed at bolstering Sarawak's data center infrastructure, artificial intelligence technology, semiconductor industry, and talent development.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS) announced that Abang Johari's itinerary in Dublin includes a visit to the K2 Data Centre. In Manchester, he will participate in the Sarawak Agenda-Townhall programme and attend a dinner with Sarawakians. Additionally, he will engage with representatives of the Manchester Regional Government at the British Muslim Heritage Centre.

In Bristol, the Premier is scheduled to engage with SMD Semiconductor and the University of Bristol, delivering a speech at the event. The visit to Bristol also includes witnessing the exchange of a Memorandum of Understanding involving SMD Semiconductor and visiting the National Composites Centre.
