Kuala lumpur: The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) is set to summon the Federal Court Chief Registrar’s Office and the Ministry of Finance (MOF) for clarifications regarding the e-Jamin system and the management of government vehicles under concession agreements, as highlighted in the Auditor-General’s Report (LKAN) 3/2025. This decision comes as part of the PAC’s ongoing efforts to address issues of governance and accountability.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, PAC chairman Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin announced that the dates for the proceedings concerning these matters have yet to be determined. She emphasized that the PAC’s proceedings will target topics identified in LKAN 3/2025 that involve elements of misconduct, abuse of power, wastage, and financial leakages.
In a press conference at the Parliament lobby, Mas Ermieyati highlighted the committee’s activity over the year, noting that the PAC has tabled 14 statements so far. She also mentioned the committee’s intention to present four additional statements during the third sitting of the current Dewan Rakyat session.
Furthermore, Mas Ermieyati disclosed plans for the PAC to conduct a working visit to assess the progress of the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) construction. Details regarding the timing of this visit will be announced at a later date.
