KUALA LUMPUR, A strong magnitude 6.3 earthquake was detected in Shikoku, Japan at 10.14 pm earlier tonight. The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) reported that the epicentre was situated at 33.2 degrees north and 132.4 degrees east, about 73 kilometres east of Oita, Japan, with a depth of 46 kilometres.
