52 Ramadan Bazaar Sites Approved Across Kelantan

Kelantan: A total of 52 Ramadan bazaar locations involving 3,771 stalls have been approved across Kelantan for this year's fasting month. State Local Government, Housing, Health and Environment Committee chairman Hilmi Abdullah announced that all bazaars will be managed by the respective local authorities (PBT) in collaboration with appointed organisers, providing business opportunities for thousands of small and medium traders in every district.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, 14 bazaar locations with 1,115 stalls will operate under the Kota Bharu Municipal Council. The Ketereh District Council has allocated 779 stalls at five locations, while the Tumpat District Council will oversee 274 stalls at four sites. Other PBTs have also recorded significant numbers of stalls, including Machang (261), Kuala Krai (110), Tanah Merah (252), Pasir Puteh (241), Pasir Mas (165), Bachok-Islamic Tourism Town (147), Jeli (172), Dabong (95), and Gua Musang (160).

Stall rental rates vary by location and are set either by the local authorities or appointed organisers, ranging from RM290 to RM550 per lot, Hilmi told Bernama. He added that the state government, through the PBTs, will ensure cleanliness, food safety, and smooth traffic flow throughout the bazaar operations. Regular monitoring will also be carried out to ensure traders comply with licensing conditions and guidelines.
