Kuala Lumpur: 3Degrees, a leading global climate solutions provider and certified B Corporation, has announced the appointment of Philippe Vedrenne as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective May 1, 2025. Vedrenne will succeed Steve McDougal, the current CEO and co-founder, who has decided to step down from his leadership role. McDougal notified the Board of Directors last year about his retirement plans but will continue to contribute as a member of the Board.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Vedrenne has accumulated over two decades of experience in the global energy market, having worked across various continents. His most recent role at Engie involved overseeing trading and retail activities in North and South America for both electricity and gas. Vedrenne was instrumental in advancing utility-scale renewable energy solutions for the corporate market, effectively integrating wind, solar, and battery asset classes.
