Tangga batu: A total of 30 cows worth more than RM160,000 have been distributed across four state constituencies in the Tangga Batu parliamentary constituency for the qurban ritual in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha this year.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Tangga Batu UMNO division chief and Paya Rumput state assemblyman Datuk Rais Yasin stated that the four state constituencies are Sungai Udang, Pantai Kundor, Paya Rumput, and Kelebang. The distribution was carried out through representatives from mosques, suraus, and village communities.

“Each year, we target to distribute between 25 and 30 cattle within the Tangga Batu parliamentary constituency for the qurban ritual, and this year the number has increased to 30 compared to 28 last year,” he said. The increase in distribution numbers is attributed to the inclusion of the police housing area in Krubong, the newest residential area in the Paya Rumput constituency.

Datuk Rais Yasin also mentioned that the cows were distributed to representatives from three military camps in the Sungai Udang constituency. This initiative was highlighted during the symbolic handover ceremony of sacrificial animals in conjunction with Aidiladha 1447H at the Paya Rumput State Legislative Assembly Development and Coordination Committee Complex (Japerun).
